Hidden in Plain Sight: An Exhibit about Louisiana’s Disappearing Prairie

Hidden in Plain Sight is a traveling exhibit that shares the story of the animals, plants, people and culture of the Cajun Prairie. It is traveling to eight prairie parishes in Southwest Louisiana in 2025 and 2026. If you are interested in having the exhibit visit your town, contact Dr. Griffard at ourlouisianabio@gmail.com.

The exhibit is a companion to Louisiana Grass Roots, a documentary film that is being screened throughout Louisiana in 2025 and 2026. These projects were possible with support from the Acadiana Center for the Arts, the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area, and the Cajun Prairie Habitat Preservation Society.
